About this project

Magued from Divine Design & Build contacted me as his team had built a draft Squarespace website, but they weren’t able to achieve the specific look and functions that they were after. He was also concerned about potential losses on Google when they moved to their new website.

First, I audited their work and identified that the way they had built the site would cause a much longer workflow for his team when updating their portfolio moving forward, so I advised a different method to create their portfolio pages. My recommended method would also allow the team to add SEO-friendly data to all projects, and allow site visitors to more easily find relevant projects on the website.

I carried out the custom coding that was required to bend the system to achieve the desired look, and I set up the new system for managing the portfolio. I then conducted a series of training sessions with different team members, showing them not only how to add new pages correctly, but also how to format and compress images to keep their website load times down, and to apply changes to the page content and behind-the-scenes data to help boost search engine ranking.

The result was so successful that I was then contracted to roll out the approach to their company’s other website.

NOTE: After project completion, all clients receive training to empower them to update their own websites, so bear in mind that anything you see on the live website may not reflect my design work.
