Trifle
About this project
Emma from Trifle workspace design consultancy got in touch as their old website needed an overhaul. Having been built and managed by a bespoke web agency, the ultimate hope was that the new website could be managed in-house, and would be something they could keep up to date more easily.
They wanted their website to reflect their creative nature, so I implemented a few unique elements, such as a custom visual timeline to highlight their workspace design process, as well as a fun mosaic gallery that not only allowed them to showcase their aesthetic, but also served a secondary purpose of filtering out the wrong types of clients by including key statements to accompany the images.
From a practical perspective, they wanted a better way to show off both their different services and their project portfolio, so I created the portfolio in a way that would allow users to filter based on industry type and service type. We then pulled the relevant projects into the service pages to demonstrate the results of that specific service.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, their work ground to a halt, so they pivoted their business to offer design solutions for working from home and product packages of cool and funky desks and workchairs that could be ordered by individuals or companies looking to kit out their workforce for home working. I helped them rapidly implement an online ordering system and a new part of the website that allowed them to offer not only the product packages, but also Zoom consultations and downloadable tip sheets to help their business survive the pandemic.
NOTE: After project completion, all clients receive training to empower them to update their own websites, so bear in mind that anything you see on the live website may not reflect my design work.
