About this project

Mary from Marmalade Film & Media approached me to help them migrate from a difficult to manage custom Wordpress website, to a platform that was more stable and would be easier for non-technical staff to maintain.

I helped them to understand the power of the Squarespace system, that would allow them to not only present their portfolio as a series of case studies to the public, but also to create private pitch pages that pulled through relevant content into hidden pages that they could send out to prospective clients to create a better user experience.

Previously, they would either send individual Vimeo links or say “check out our website for examples of our work”, but this approach either meant the unattractive Vimeo interface or forcing prospects to sift through dozens of videos on their website to find the ones that were of interest.

We created a dual purpose library of videos labelled behind the scenes by theme and client type, as well as a library of testimonials, that we could use to first create the public facing web pages. Then, we used the same libraries to pull through a curated set of client- or sector-specific project videos and testimonials on a bespoke hidden pitch page, where they could then also embed their pitch deck slides and contact details. Marmalade now has the ability to send out one tailored link to their prospects, creating a highly professional and slick impression.

NOTE: After project completion, all clients receive training to empower them to update their own websites, so bear in mind that anything you see on the live website may not reflect my design work.
